Eric Thullesen

Eric Michael Thullesen, 52, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, April 28, 2026, at his residence.

He entered this life on February 1, 1974, in Joplin, Missouri, the eldest of two children born to the union of Robert and Deborah (Brown) Thullesen. Eric graduated from Joplin High School in 1992, where he began building the foundation of the steady, hardworking life that would come to define him. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country faithfully.








Eric spent his professional life with Fastenal, where he was employed for 27 years. At the time of his passing, he served as the manager of the Fastenal store in Joplin. Through his long career, he earned the respect of coworkers and customers alike for his reliability, leadership, and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Eric found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially gardening and cooking out for his family and friends. He appreciated time spent at home and valued the moments shared with those he loved. His kindness, easygoing nature, and willingness to lend a hand left a lasting impression on the people around him.








Eric is survived by his three children, Andrew Thullesen and his wife, Bailee, of Owasso, Oklahoma, Davin Thullesen of Odessa, Missouri, and Kylea Thullesen of Joplin, Missouri. He is also survived by his parents, Debi Downs and Robert Thullesen, both of Branson, Missouri, and by his sister, Amy Efird and her husband, Chad, also of Branson, Missouri. In addition, he leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory and mourn his passing.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
