(From Weng Funeral Chapel)Kathy Jane Onstott, 66, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Lamar. She was born on October 25, 1959, in Lamar, Missouri, to Orville and Evelyn Onstott.
Kathy was united in marriage to Dale Carter on January 18, 1975, and together they had four children. Though they later separated, they remained close.
She is survived by her children: Jenica Rush of Frisco, TX; Jessica Carter of Jasper, MO; Willie Carter of Lamar, MO; and Ben Carter of Lamar, MO. She is also survived by her mother, Evelyn Onstott of Lamar, MO; her siblings, Debra Walters of Lamar, MO, and Jerry Onstott of Lamar, MO.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Orville Onstott.
She was a proud grandmother to Madison Rush, Damien Markus, Jaime Rush, Maylee Rawlings, Phinneas Manko, Karma Carter, and Declan Carter. She shared a special and cherished bond with Karma and Declan, who brought her joy and happiness everyday. Her love, guidance, and presence in their daily lives created a connection that will never be forgotten.
Kathy also shared an especially deep bond with her sons, Willie and Ben. Together, they faced life’s challenges side by side, leaning on one another, supporting each other, and finding strength in their closeness. Through both the difficult and joyful times, they remained constant for one another—a reflection of the love and strength Kathy carried throughout her life.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 20,2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery (Oakton). The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19,2026 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.
