Za Hnin Bik, 45, of Mt. Vernon, MO, passed from this life on Sunday, April 19, 2026, while at his home following a sudden illness.
Za was born January 20, 1981, in Bungtlang, Burma, to Hniar Kam and Zung Khen.Za was employed as a cook, specializing in making sushi. He was a member of the Farm Chin Baptist Church in Wheaton, MO.
He is survived by his father; and nine brothers and sisters; and many extended family and friends.
Funeral service for Za will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Farm Chin Baptist Church in Wheaton, MO. Reverend Benjamin Bawi will be officiating. The family invites friends for a visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Interment will be in the Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton, MO. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
