David LaNore

(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)

David Lynn LaNore, 59, was called home to Heaven on Tuesday April 14, 2026. He was born in Seattle, Washington on January 5, 1967; the son of Connie (Cross) Nicholaw.

David was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend.

He loved camping, fishing, and barbecuing for his family. He never met a stranger, was a generous, big-hearted person with a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. David was very handy and could fix or “rig” just about anything, frequently working for only sandwiches or hugs in return.

He was passionate about his service in the military, frequently heard to say, “Once a Marine, always a Marine”.

Some of our favorite memories include long drives to California with family to visit family, which he loved. Karaoke, Peach Rings, pranks on the kids (that only he thought were hilarious), and the fact that nobody ever left his company hungry!

He was the life of every family gathering, and he will be greatly missed.

David was married twice and raised four amazing kids. He is survived by his mother, Connie Nicholaw, son Daniel (Shanna), daughter Chelsea (Alex), son Justin (Casey), son Mat, and seven grandchildren, Kennedy, Chase, Avery, Zoey, Cecily, Eli and Livy.

Visitation for David is being held on Saturday April 18, 2026 from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri with Pastor John Henry officiating. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery.

Memorial donations for David may be made to the New Site Baptist Church in Monett, Missouri.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home.
