(From Nelson Funeral Service)Evan William Patterson left this earthly home on Friday, April 17, at the age of 27.
Evan was born on June 4, 1998, to Danny and Lisa Patterson. He gave his heart to Jesus, and was very faithful to Him, his family, and his church family.
Evan attended school at Berryville. He graduated from the class of 2017. He loved playing peewee football. He was the smallest kid on the field but that didn’t mean much to him, he gave it his best effort every time he put on that Cowboys uniform! His favorite classes were Ag classes.
Evan was a member of 4-H. He showed chickens and rabbits at the fair for several years. He showed “the orneriest pony in Carroll County” at the horse show also. He loved 4-H shooting sports. He also learned to scrapbook, to sew, and other life skills in 4-H.
Evan attended Grandview Baptist Church from about the age of 4 years old. He had lots of great memories from youth trips, mission trips, workdays, and just being with our church family. He didn’t just attend church; he had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He was not perfect, but he was a hard-working Christian man striving to do his best.
Evan always had a project or 12 going. He loved to tinker on old vehicles and farm equipment. He wasn’t one to be on his phone a lot, but if he was on it, he was probably scrolling marketplace! He loved John Wayne movies and Louis L’Amour books.
He was in an accident at work. He closed his eyes here on earth and is now in Heaven. He doesn’t have any pain, worries, etc.
Evan is survived by his parents; Danny and Lisa Patterson, older brother; Patrick (Abi) Patterson of Golden, MO, sister; Georgia Belle (Riley) Cantwell of Osage, AR, younger brother; Duncan (Gabbi) Patterson of Floral, AR, nephew; Memphis King Cantwell and a niece; Tennessee Pearl Cantwell, maternal grandmother; Mertie Maxey of Marshall, AR, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mary Patterson, uncles Donnie and Deanie Patterson and grandpa, Clifton Maxey.
