(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Darrell Gene Belcher, age 87 of Oswego, passed away at 2:41 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was born on July 14, 1938 to the union of Carl Gene Belcher and Geneva Orvilla (Bain) Belcher. He had spent several decades living in Nevada, MO before moving to Oswego in the 1970's.
Darrell was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, and worked as a manager for Town and Country Grocery Store where he worked for nearly 30 years, and later ran Country Mart in Parsons before his retirement.
Darrell was united in marriage with Barbara Jean Rimmer on December 23, 1956 in Nevada, MO. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2022.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Belcher (wife, Robbie) Oronogo, MO and Randy Belcher, Griffin, GA; two daughters, Marsha Conrad, Oswego, and Sherry Brown, Owasso, OK; one brother, Duane Belcher of Oswego, KS; one sister-in-law, Patty Epps of Warrensburg, MO; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Newton Cemetery, Nevada, MO. Pallbearers will be Brandon Conrad, Dusty Conrad, Josh Belcher, Ryan Belcher, Buddy Belcher and Brady Belcher.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS.
