(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Tony Mathis, 54, of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 19th, 2026.
Born on October 11th, 1971, in Joplin, Tony was the son of Tim and Sharon Mathis. Tony built a successful career with CraneWorks, where he was widely respected and often their leading sales representative. His work ethic, determination, and ability to connect with people made him a valued colleague and a trusted friend to many.
Known for his strong personality, Tony had a natural gift for teaching and mentoring others. He built lasting friendships and left an impression on everyone he met. He was unapologetically honest, never was short on words, and you always knew where he stood. Yet behind his candid nature was a genuinely caring heart. Tony deeply valued the people in his life and was always willing to support and guide those around him even if they didn't ask for it. These qualities made him both memorable and deeply respected.
On November 18th, 1995, Tony married the love of his life, Dana Pritchard. Together they built a life centered on family, laughter, and unwavering support. Tony was a devoted husband to Dana and father to both Brayden and Harper, dedicating himself fully to his children. Whether coaching, encouraging, or simply being present, he invested his time, energy, and heart into helping them achieve their goals. He immersed himself in their interests and believed strongly in providing every opportunity possible for his family.
Above all, Tony was loved by his family, his friends, and countless others whose lives he touched. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the memories he created will endure.
Tony was preceded in death by his father in law, Donald Pritchard, and his best friend, Kenny Nealis.
