(From Meadors Funeral Home)Peggy Marie Elliott Clevenger of Aurora Mo, passed away in Attica Nursing home in Attica Kansas on Saturday April 18, 2026. Peggy was born July 2, 1935, in Crane Mo. to Floyd and Ardith (Neil) Edwards. She married Jim Elliott in May of 1952, and they were happily married for 43 years prior to his passing on July 5, 1995. On June 7, 1998, she married Clyde Clevenger. He passed away in November 2017.
She was a member of the Reavisville First Baptist church. Her love for God and her faith was very strong. She loved the old hymns and was always singing them. Her church family meant a lot to her, and she loved each and every one of them. Her family was her pride and joy; she loved to go to their rodeos and games. Peggy was her kid's biggest cheerleader. She worked hard for her family from working at a boot company where she stretches the tops of boots; to manager and sales clerk at St. John's Short Stop.
Peggy’s favorite pastime was to make quilts that she would share with her family, even making some with her loving daughter Sherry. One thing about her is she always wanted them to be nice and warm when they snuggle up with her love. She always said my love is in each stitch so wrap up in my quilts and know how much I love you and I am always here for you.
She will be deeply missed by all that she knew her, and she will never be forgotten. She is with us all in our hearts and memories. She has asked in lieu of flowers she would like all memorials to be given to Reavisville First Baptist Church to help the Crowley family purchase a wheelchair van to help with her little buddy Tate. Any other donations may be given to the youth group of Reavisville First Baptist Church so they can keep reaching out to the youth in the community to spread the word of our Lord.
Peggy survived by her children Terry Elliott, Sherry (Jay) Ingle, Brad (Deb) Elliott, and Verlan (Starla) Elliott. 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren; sister Judy Cavener and a lot of dear friends she made at Attica Nursing Home.
