(By Clark Funeral Home)Robert R. Morris was born on August 12, 1946, to Malcom and Bonnie (Koonce) Morris in a little house on the east side of Neosho, Missouri. He passed away on April 8, 2026, at his home in Neosho, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old.
Robert grew up and attended school in the Stella community. He graduated from Stella high School with the class of 1964. He married the love of his life, Conna Lynn Nowlin at the Methodist Church in Neosho, Missouri on May 5, 1966. He also attended Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, and Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri to further his education and become a Machinist.
In 1967, Robert enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served until 1972. His patriotism remained throughout his lifetime and was always proud to be a US Veteran.
He was a man of faith and a long-time member of Sweetwater Baptist Church of Neosho, Missouri. He was a cattle farmer, loved to bale hay, kept his pond stocked with fish so he could take the grandkids and great grandkids fishing. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, and Grand Lake was his favorite spot. He was often found on a boat on Grand Lake bow hunting for gar. Deer hunting was another activity that brought him joy. He was a true outdoorsman that appreciated natural beauty and spending time enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Conna; their sons; Jamie Morris (Athena) and Jason Morris (Nikkie), both of Neosho, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Morris of Neosho, Missouri; and three siblings: Danny Morris of Goodman, Missouri, Anna Durbin of Neosho, Missouri, and Shyrle Spain of Seneca, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcom and Bonnie Morris, his son, Joey Morris, and his sister, Jackie Smith.
Friends may call at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 8:00am-12:00pm to pay their respects.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the IOOF Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri.
