(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Terry Lee Raney 80, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the Solace House in Joplin, MO with his wife at his side.
Terry was born April 2, 1945 in Tampa, Florida. He was born to Robert Bartley and Dorothy (Chaney) Raney. After graduating from high school, Terry attended several different colleges that included Missouri Southern, Allen County C.C., and University of Find ley Ohio. He was a master machinist and worked for several different companies throughout his lifetime, but spent most of it at Rockwell International.
Terry was very dedicated to not only his work but also to his family and grandchildren which he loved so dearly. His family knew him as a tower of strength. Terry was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church, Miami, OK and held several different positions over the years at the church. In his older years you could always find Terry out in his shop tinkering with whatever he could get his hands on. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. At one point, while residing in Canada his daughter Teresa can remember Terry taking them to their usual outing on Sunday afternoon which was the gun range. That become one of their traditions.
Terry was united in marriage to Susan Virginia (Brown) Raney on November 17, 1971 in Miami, OK. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include daughter, Teresa Stockton and husband Vance of Wyandotte, OK; grandchildren, J.D. Stockton and Lizzie Stockton, Kevin, Thomas, and Michelle Raney of Ontario, Canada; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Raney of Ontario, Canada; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends; two brothers and one sister.
Terry is preceded in death by his son, Craig Raney; mother, Dorothy Raney; grandparents, Ed and Anna Chaney; infant brother Daniel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2026 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Pastor Mike Mayfield will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lowell Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are; Chris Brown, Michael Jordan, Jake King, Aaron King, Corey Westervelt, and J.C. Westervelt. Honorary pallbearers are J.D. Stockton and Todd Westervelt.
