(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)Alyce Claire Hudman, age 79, of Carthage, MO passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Aspire Senior Living in Carthage.
Alyce was born on May 26, 1946 in Las Cruces, NM to the union John Marvin and Delora Marie (Rogers) Cahoon. She spent most of her life in New Mexico and recently moved to Carthage, MO in 2018 due to health issues. She married Melvin Kenneth Hudman and enjoyed many years together before his passing. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and playing computer games. She valued home, faith, and the bonds of family, and these values shaped the way she lived each day. Alyce especially loved spending time with her family, and that devotion was one of the defining joys of her life. She treasured the role of raising four beautiful children.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Hudman; two great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Alyce is survived by her three children, Delora Marie Mathews, Melvin Hudman and Jeffrey Hudman; nine grandchildren, Reuben, Raymond, James, Jeremy, Jesica, Jamie, Melvin, Sara and Ryan; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Mary Jane and Albert.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.
