Dennis Ray Edie, age 64 of the Racine, MO area, passed away at his home at 2:19 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013.
Born May 12, 1949 in Mano, MO, he was the son of the late William Kenneth Edie and Hazel Marie Channel Edie. Dennis was Vice President and Purchasing Director for Kemlee Manufacturing Company in Galena, where he worked 30 years, retiring due to ill health in 2012. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Cassville, MO.
On July 4, 1971 he married Connie Marie Knull at Norfolk, NE. She survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Katrina Marie Edie of Joplin; a brother, Larry Gene Edie and wife Linda of Joplin; four nieces and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a son, Seth David Edie and a brother, Gary Wayne Edie.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Parker Chapel with family friend Debi Greek officiating. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Joe McDaniel, Rick Roberts, Cannon Kinnard, Danny Henderson, Clayton Sellin, Aaron Beltz, Chris Knull and Corey Knull. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Edie and Geno. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
