Mary Lorese Hunt, age 96, formerly of Joplin, MO. passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 in Lynchburg, TN of natural causes.
Lorese was born November 17, 1917 in Yuma, TN. to Lewis and Oda Taylor Pritchard.
She married Logan Hunt on July 4, 1936. Lorese and Logan made their home in Caruthersville, MO after they were married and subsequently moved to Joplin in 1959. During her time in Joplin, Lorese worked with her husband in the management of Logan Hunt and Sons Gulf Service and was also the focal point of the family home.
Lorese is survived by 2 daughters; Mary Sue Howell (Charles) of Lebanon, TN., Gerry Harper (Vince) of Lynchburg, TN., 3 sons; Michael Hunt (Suzanne) of Bloomington, IL., John Hunt (Kathy) of Overland Park, KS., Bill Hunt (Becky) of Joplin, MO., 1 sister Sue Duncan of Salisbury, MD., 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Logan and her parents.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 14, 2013 at Osborne Cemetery, Joplin, Mo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
