Madge Louis Reynolds Hodson, age 87, of Butler, Missouri went home to the Lord early Christmas morning.
Born a triplet December 17, 1926 in Pitcher, Oklahoma she is survived by on triplet sister Nadene McCool, Springfield, Missouri, a son, Ken Hodson and his wife Cindy, grandson, Kenny Hodson, Jr. and his wife Sarah, great grandson Konnor and grandson Jon Hodson, great granddaughter, Harley all of Raytown as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Preceding her in death were her husband Reverend Othal Hodson and daughter Debra Louise, her mother Zetta Craig, father Gene Reynolds, sisters, Helen Gilbert, Mildred Morgan, Aldene Manes and brother Roy Reynolds.
Madge spent 44 years as a pastor’s wife and worked in many church organizations with many wonderful people at New Providence Baptist Church, First Baptist of Butler, Strasburg Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Waynesville and Round Prairie Baptist Church. She loved to sing and was always part of the choir. She was a wonderful cook and had the distinction of having an all-spare game in bowling. She worked outside the home with Empire Electric in Webb City, Liberty Water Company and Waynesville Funeral Home and as a church secretary. She was a very sweet, loving lady that was loved by all. She will be missed by all of us.
A visitation will be held on Monday December 30, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Butler, Missouri at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery.
