Edythe Roberta Phillips age 94, formerly of Webb City, Mo. passed away Tuesday December 10, 2013 at the Christian Healthcare in Republic, Mo.
She was born February 5, 1919 in Johnson County, Mo. to Henry and Mae Underwood Kohler.
Edythe was employed with the Elder Shirt Factory and retired in 1983. She was a volunteer for St. John’s hospice for 14 years and volunteered at ARM. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Webb City, Mo.
She married Woodrow Phillips on September 19, 1935 in Galena, Mo. and he preceded her in death in 1968. Also preceding her in death was a son, John Phillips, brother L.W. Kohler, and her sister Euna Jerome.
Edythe is survived by one daughter Barbara Yocum and husband John, Republic, Mo. three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a sister in law Elva Kohler.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday December 16, 2013 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Pastor Ron Woody officiating. Burial will follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
