Ruby Brockman

Ruby Lee Henson Brockman 86, Neosho, MO died December 24, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Ruby was born September 24, 1927 in Pineville, MO to Francis Norton Henson and Myrtle Carter Henson. Ruby came to Neosho in 1958 from Tulsa, OK. She worked in production for McDonald Douglas. She was the secretary to the superintendent of McDonald County School District. She worked in customer service at Sears, Montgomery Ward and New Mac Electric. She was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. She was a member of the Republican Committee for many years. She loved to garden. Ruby and John Brockman were married on Jan 5, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death of June 16, 2002.

She is survived by two sons: Greg and Teresa Brockman, Joplin, MO and Kendall & Diana Brockman, Neosho, MO. Two daughters: Rebecca and Steve Cantrell, Carl Junction Missouri and Melinda Heater, Rogers Arkansas. Four Brothers:
Martin & Barbara Henson, Tulsa, OK; Clayton and Juanita Henson, Las Vegas, NV Troy and Zelda Henson, Pineville, MO and Glen and Sundy Henson, Neosho, MO. Two sisters: Shirley and Fred Boatright, Neosho, MO and Carol and Bob Corcoran, Anderson, MO. One Sister-In-Law, Gloria Bradley, Versailles, KY.

Ruby was also survived by six grandchildren: Haley Goostree, Thomas Cantrell, Taylor Cantrell, Amanda Brockman, Basil Brockman and Carter Brockman. One great grandchild. Joicelyn Cantrell.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters: Doris Stephens and Fern Davidson Acosta and one brother, James Henson.

Visitation will be 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Clark Chapel of Memories, 312 S. Wood, Neosho.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2201 S. High St., Neosho.

Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home.
