Dixie Francis, 88 passed away December 20, 2013 at her home in Carthage, Missouri.
She was born October 5, 1924 in Jasper Missouri. She graduated from Jasper High School. Dixie lived in Salina and returned to Carthage in her early 40’s Dixie worked for Hallmark in Kansas City and then for Schrieber Cheese in Carthage for 45 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage. Dixie was an avid square dancer, she enjoyed fishing. She also enjoyed Mustang cars she traded for a new one every year.
Dixie is survived by one Sister-in-Law Dolores Arner of Carthage several nieces and nephews. Dixie is preceeded in death by her longtime dance partner Will. Three sisters Murriel, Maxine and Pearl. Four brothers Wayne, Keith, George and Jerry.
Services will by 2:00 p.m. Monday December 23, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church of Carthage, MO. Visitation will be 12:30p.m. to 1:30p.m. Monday December 23, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Carthage. Burial will be at Waters Cemetery north of Jasper, MO.
