Florine Whitescarver

Florine E. Whitescarver, age 92, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 11:44 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Spring River Christian Village following a two month illness. Florine was born August 24, 1921 in Webb City and was a longtime Webb City resident. Florine was employed for 20 years with the former Foodtown Grocery Store in Webb City. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church of Webb City.

Florine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Whitescarver, one brother, John Herd, one sister, Theo Hart, and a granddaughter, Ianna Mielke. Survivors include three sons, Bob Whitescarver and wife Brenda, Cassville, Mo., Dan Whitescarver and wife Joy, Springfield, Mo. and John Whitescarver and wife April, rural Oronogo, Mo., one daughter, Judith Mielke, Webb City, two sisters, Imogene Smith and Wilma Dean Brown, both of Webb City, 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hedge-Lewis Chapel in Webb City with Randy L. Wilson, Minister, officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the Chapel. Private burial will be in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home in Webb City, Mo.
