Patricia Bishop

Patricia Ruth Bishop, age 75, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Sunday December 22, 2013, at Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center, in Forsyth, Mo.

Patricia was born on December 25, 1937 in Picher, Ok., the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Hicks) Willey. She graduated from Joplin Junior College and attended the University of Arkansas. She worked several years as an assistant manager for Missouri Mills and as a department manager for Hobby Lobby and Ben Franklin Crafts, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts, but her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Anne Thomas, Branson, Mo., and Kelly Bishop, Flower Mound, Tx.; one son, Phillip Bishop, Joplin; four grandchildren, Allison Marie Thomas, Zachary Ryan Thomas, Jonathan Michael Thomas, and Rodney Lee Bishop, II; several dear cousins; and a good friend, Linda Ashby.

The visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Cremation will follow services.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
