Christine Miller, 78, of Carthage passed away at 11:24 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Christine was born March 19, 1935 to Chris Sherman and Vinita Joplin in Carthage, Missouri. She was born and raised in Carthage, then spent 43 years in Wichita, Kansas before returning to Carthage in the early 90’s. Christine was a homemaker. Christine married Everett Miller on January 2, 1953 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Christine is survived by her husband, one son Steve Miller of Wichita, two daughters Roxene Smyser of Olathe and Rhonda Cerday of Wichita, 7 grandchildren Sheila, Ben, Jason, Jessica, Nicole, Robbie and Jessica, and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home.
