Grace Anne Bachmann, 80, Joplin, went to be with her husband, Kedric, and son, John "Jussi," on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
Grace was born July 7, 1933, in Vallejo, California, to the late Curtis Beach and Lena Sherman Beach. She lived in Joplin the last 10 years, moving from California.
Grace was a supervising clerk of the juvenile court in Riverside, California, for 25 years, retiring in 1991. She also taught at a Christian school in Riverside for 10 years. Grace was a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Church, Joplin.
She married Kedric Bachmann on October 25, 1968, in Riverside, California. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2012.
She was also preceded in death by her son, John.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Brown and her husband, Rich, Joplin; Susan McDonald and her husband, Virgil, Crane, Missouri; two step children, Sarah Kirby and husband, Joseph, Stafford, Virginia, Paul Bachmann and wife, Jennifer, Linthicum Heights, Maryland; her former husband, Lauri Kuoppamaki, Riverside, California; six grandchildren, John Wesley McDonald and wife, Tina, Katie Fulp and husband, Jim, Meghan McDonald, Erik Brown, Brett Brown and fiancee, Amy Owen, Ethan McDonald, Evan McDonald; and three great grandchildren, Keller, Jaxon and Kaelie.
Memorial services are planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Tabernacle, 820 N. Schifferdecker Ave. Pastor Twyla Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
