Kimberly Dianna ‘Kim’ (Hall) Cox, 54, of El Dorado Springs, MO passed away January 10, 2014 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center following a short illness. Kim was born August 17, 1959 to Margaret ‘Marty’ (Strait) Hall and the late Leonard L. Hall of Carl Junction.
Kim graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1978 and was very involved in NJROTC. Following graduation, she continued her education at what is now known as Missouri Southern State University.
In 1973, Kim was crowned Carl Junction Miss Merry Christmas. In 1975, she participated in the Missouri Miss Teen Pageant in Columbia, MO and in 1976, Kim was Flag Captain of the Carl Junction Drum Corps. Kim enjoyed reading, puzzles, crafts and collecting angels.
Kim married Russel M. Cox in February of 1991. He survives.
Additonal survivors include her mother, Margaret; her children, Michael Cox, El Dorado Springs, MO, Caulin Cox, Joplin, MO, Lauren Cox, Eldorado Springs, MO; one brother, Kevin Hall and his wife, Lori; two grandchildren, Monica and Adam; one nephew, Justin Hall; nieces, Katelyn Gower and her husband, Troy, Kasey Jacobs and husband Caleb; as well as many friends and extended family that will miss her.
Memorial service will be held at Parker Mortuary, Friday, January 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Committal of ashes will follow at Carl Junction Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ronald McDonald House in Joplin, MO in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
