Nancy Suellen Smith, 40, Neosho, passed away Jan. 20, 2014 at Freeman Hospital in Neosho.
Nancy was born Nov. 6, 1973 in Stella, MO. the daughter of Leslie and Mackey Harrison. She is survived by her husband Andy Smith, of the home, and both parents of Neosho, as well as a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. Nancy was preceded in death by an infant brother in 1970.
She was a devoted wife, most loving daughter and a devout Christian.
Although Nancy was born disabled, she enjoyed life to the fullest extent that she was able. Her courage and spirit inspired many people. She especially enjoyed visits to the library and long excursions along the streets and sidewalks of downtown Neosho visiting with everyone she met. She volunteered at the Senior Center where she was known as “Sunshine” for her smiling, happy nature. She was a longtime volunteer at George Washington Carver National Monument. At home Nancy liked to play video games and watch her favorite television programs including the Little House on the Prairie, The Andy Griffith Show and the Food Channel. She was a longtime member of the Church of Hope where she enjoyed singing Gospel songs.
