Tammy was born October 6, 1959, in Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO and departed this life January 7, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Her parents are Jim Wyatt of Burlington, IA and Dixie Mills Wright of Wyandotte, OK.
She also leaves a son, Wyatt McClintock Ferguson; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Steve Wilson of Joplin; and a nephew, Jake Wilson of Webb City, MO.
Tammy graduated from Parkwood High School in 1977 with honors and while there was named to “Who’s Who of American High School Students”. She graduated from SMSU in Springfield, MO with a bachelor’s degree in 1981 and was immediately hired by Marion Laboratories of Kansas City and was sent to Montana.
She continued to work in the medical sales field. Her title was Technical Representative.
She worked for Dade Diagnostics and throughout her career was the top area sales representative three years in succession and in 1993, was named National Sales Representative.
Tammy married David Ferguson in New Orleans on May 1, 1992. To their union was born Wyatt McClintock Ferguson who survives and is an honor student at LSU, Baton Rouge.
Tammy continued to live in New Orleans, working as a sales representative for a flooring company and had recently transferred to Baton Rouge. She was diagnosed with Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer. Tammy was an intelligent, very talented lady. She was a writer and an artist. She will be sadly missed.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8th at Parker Mortuary in Joplin.
