Teresa A. Nichols, age 53, Joplin, passed away at 2:29 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital.
Teresa was born February 9, 1960 in Joplin to the late Claude Fredrick Harmon and Calista Joy (Jones) Harmon and had lived in the Joplin area all of her life.
She worked as manager of Cardinal Towers in Webb City for six years. She had also worked at Casey’s in Carterville, Webb City Health and Rehab and the Salvation Army.
Teresa married Richard Nichols in July of 1989. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Chris Broadwater and daughter in-law, Christina Spry, Joplin; a daughter, Stephanie Sharp and her husband, Jason, Joplin; two step-daughters, Jane Nichols, Newton, Kansas, Caleigh Nichols, Liberal, Missouri; step-son, Chris Nichols and his wife, Jacqui, Liberal, Missouri; two sisters, Dollie McCann and her husband, Darin, Joplin, Claudia Arnold and her husband, Paul, Pea Ridge, Arkansas; one brother, David Balcom and his wife, Sherry, Joplin; and 8 grandchildren.
Services are planned for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Arnold, Darin McCann, Billy Baker, Jack Harmon, Jerry Harmon and Jamie Harmon. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Nichols. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
