Mary Louise "Juju/Honey" Logan, age 85 of San Diego, Ca., went home to be with the Lord at 12:48 Saturday, January 11, 2014.
Mary Louise Logan was born February 23, 1928 in Joplin, Mo., daughter of the late Loranzo William "Harvey" Fowler and Almeda Louis Fowler. She graduated from, Lincoln High School and then moved to California, where she married Charles Boyd. She worked several jobs as a caretaker and was the Activity Director at The Neighborhood House Senior citizen program. She later married Julius Logan, and was a member of the N.A.A.C.P. San Diego Chapter. Mary was involved in church activities, and the Missionary Society at Logan Temple A.M.E., which she loved very much. She enjoyed family, friends and helping others.
Mary is survived by: two brothers, Sol Fowler of Joplin, and Alfred Fowler of Victorville, California; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-grand nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, January 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Charles Melson officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
