Letitia L. Perkins, 86, of Carthage passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Mercy McCune Hosptial in Carthage.
Letitia was born November 11, 1927 in Carthage. She was the daughter of J. Ivan Boyd and Jeannette Bennett. Letitia had been a lifetime resident of Carthage. She was a homemaker and had worked as a PBX Operator for Tri-State Motor Transit in Joplin. Letitia was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage.
Letitia was united in marriage to Harry Perkins on January 23, 1948. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1980. Survivors include three sons; John Perkins and his wife Betty of Monett, MO, Dick Perkins and his wife Kathy of Joplin, MO and Charles B. Perkins and his wife Karen of Carthage, MO, six grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Perkins, Jason and Jill Perkins, Dustin and Karleigh Perkins, Holly and Kevin McGrath, Kristen and Kevin Brasch, Shelley and E. Wayne Wilson and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Hackney Cemetery, east of Carthage. Visitation will be 7:00 to 8;00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to The First United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army in care of the Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences maybe sent at www.ulmerfhcom.
