Nadine Wimbish, 91, Joplin, formerly of Diamond, died Jan. 4, 2014 at National Health Care in Joplin, following a lengthy decline of health.
Nadine was born Oct. 4, 1922 in Spiro, OK and moved to Diamond in 1971 from Andover, Kansas. She was a homemaker; loved to quilt, sew and knit and was a member of Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church in Neosho.
Nadine and Loran Wimbish were married on Sept. 4, 1943 at Spiro, OK and he survives. Also surviving are three children, Myrna Yellowhair, Flagstaff, AZ; Glenn Wimbish, Golden, CO and Jerry Wimbish, Joplin; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a sister, Beatrice Ferrell, Tulsa, OK. She is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wimbish on June 18, 2007.
Services will be Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at 10 am at the Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church, Rev. Daniel Taylor will officiate. Interment will be in the Stone Cemetery, north of Diamond and serving as pallbearers will be, Jerry Wimbish, David Yellowhair, Jon Yellowhair, Joshua Holden, Caleb Holden and Samuel Holden.
