Tyler Jacob Stow, age 21, of Stotts City, MO passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021, in Mt. Vernon, MO. He was born in Joplin, MO on Tuesday, September 28, 1999. Tyler was the son of Matt and Donna (Howerton) Stow.
He graduated from Pierce City High School in 2018 where he actively participated in band and Ag. Tyler attended SRTC while in high school and participated in many competitions involving diesel mechanics. He competed at the state level in diesel mechanics where he placed third. In band, Tyler played the saxophone.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on Fords and riding motorcycles or 4-wheelers. Tyler also enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his friends. He loved to take things apart and put things together. Tyler also knew his way around the kitchen and was a great cook. He worked at O'Reilly's Automotive, milked cows, and most recently worked for Denali Water Solutions. Tyler was a hard worker and loved his family and friends. He was always willing to help others.
Surviving are the following: his mother, Donna Kay Stow of Stotts City, MO; a sister, Kali Fenske of Neosho, MO; paternal grandparents, John and Mary Stow of Wentworth, MO; two special little girls of Mt. Vernon, MO; an uncle, Andy Stow of Wentworth, MO; a cousin, Andrea of Springfield MO; aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Matt Stow on August 11, 2016.
Tyler has been cremated at his request. Memorial visitation will be held at Lakin Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM with graveside services and burial at 2:00 PM at Van Buren Cemetery near Wentworth, MO.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
