(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Vera E. Russell, 74, of Jane, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, in the comfort of her residence after a long battle with her health.
Vera entered this life on March 30, 1948, in Ashland, Oregon, daughter of the late Earl and Flora (Watkins) Mills. She was raised and attended school in Anderson, Missouri.
On June 7, 1965, she was united in marriage to Rex Russell and to this union three children were born. They resided in Anderson until moving to Jane in 1990.
Vera was a devoted homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a wonderful cook and loved to laugh and smile. She loved her family and she especially loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Gravette, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Rhonda Russell; and a sister, Lenora Anderson.

Vera is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Rex Russell of the home; two children, Rex Russell, II and wife, Becky, of Lowell, Arkansas and Robin Baker and husband, Brent, of Rogers, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, James Ratcliff, Ian Baker, Rachel Ratcliff, Erin Baker, Jordan Russell, Ryan Russell and Anna Baker; a sister, Virginia Frisbe of Anderson, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation services will be held on Friday evening, July 8, 2022, from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Anderson chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Private burial will take place at Jane Cemetery in Jane, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
