Dustin Nathaniel Weidler, age 35, passed from this life July 5, 2020.
He was born on March 13, 1985 in Joplin. He graduated from Diamond High School. He proudly served his country in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom as specialist E4 10042 Airborne.
He married Resa L. (Powers) Weidler on June 15, 2013. He was a member of the Central City Christian Church where he played his guitar in the band and volunteered. He had a servant's heart for the Lord and others. In 2004 he volunteered at Stained Glass Theater. He loved camping, fishing, and hunting in the great outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Resa, and his beloved daughter, Tori Weidler; parents, Randy and Sandra McNett; his father, Dana Weidler; three sisters, Mya Gurwell and husband Jeremy, Polo, Missouri, Deina Renee Warren, Goodman, Missouri, Mechelle Samuel and husband Michael, Cameron, Missouri; one brother, Jerret McNett and wife Amber, Long Lane, Missouri. And as Dustin would say “A butt load of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews”. He loved them all.
Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Betty Cooper, uncle John Cooper and wife Barbara, aunt Diane Wrick, niece Kaylen Warren, and nephew, Dylan Gurwell.
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. Isaiah 40:31.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday July 10, 2020 at Central City Christian Church ( 783 S Central City Road) with Jared Kouba minister officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6:00-7:00 pm at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
