Russell Andrew Dorf, age 42, Joplin, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Mercy of Joplin.
Russell was born May 2, 1978 in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Camdenton High School, and then served in the United States Navy. He returned to Missouri where he began his career in cosmetology. He worked for years as a beautician in the Joplin area. Russell was always willing to help those in need, and he loved his family and enjoyed life with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amos Abney, Juanita Dorf, and Melvin Dorf.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Abney Hudson (Carl) of Webb City; father, Michael Dorf (Charlotte) of Camdenton, Missouri; son, Caleb Dorf of Webb City; grandson, Landon Dorf; brother, Christopher Dorf of Camdenton; step-son, Ethan Schraml; his loyal service dog, Ivy; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Burial of his ashes will private, and at a later date.
