Randy Davey

Randall (Uncle Randy) Davey, age 59, of Lamar, Missouri passed away July 13, 2020, at his home.
Randy was born June 5, 1961 in Olathe, Kansas to Donald Lee Davey and Norma Madaline (Mason) Davey. 

Randy was a 1980 graduate of El Dorado Springs High School. He joined the Army in 1980 and did his Basic Training and AIT at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. Randy was stationed at Fort Sill and later in Germany in the early 1980's, he was later a member of the National Guard at Camp Clark in Nevada, MO.

Randy worked for Bub Curless at the Bowling Alley and Catering Business in the late 1980's to mid 1990's. He then worked at Standley Construction from 1996 to 2004, followed by building grain bins the past several years until his health began to fail. 








Randy was an avid pool player and an outdoorsman. He was liked and loved by most everyone he met, always looking for the good in everyone. He was a member of the Lamar Family Ministries Church in Lamar, MO.

Survivors include one son, Donald (Chantelle) Davey, Lamar, MO; five brothers, Jack (Jill) Davey, Denver, Colorado, William (Rebecca) Davey, Sellersville, Pennsylvania, Robert (Vicki) Davey, Drexel, MO, Gene Davey and Larry (Sandy) Davey, all of Iantha, MO; one sister, Nancy Davey, Lamar, and three grandchildren, Taylor Hornsby, Donald Lee Davey Jr. and Karma Hornsby all of Lamar, along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Randy in death were his parents.

Private Graveside Services will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kansas with full military honors.
