Nancy Lancaster

Nancy Mae Lancaster, 93, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Shiloh Health and Rehab in Springdale, Arkansas.

She was born on May 6, 1927 to the late, Martin and Malinda (Neal) Brown in Brumley, Missouri. 

She was married for 29 years to the love of her life, Claude Lancaster on November 7, 1977 in Garden City, Kansas. Nancy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 220 and the American Legion Auxiliary in Southwest City, Missouri. She was the first mother of the DeMolay Masonic Brothers in Southwest City, Missouri. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.








She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Lancaster and four siblings; Weaver Brown, June Brown, Ap Dwyer, and Mildred Rogers.

Nancy is survived by her three sons, Everett Earl “Red” Smith (Jody) of Southwest City, Missouri, Larry Gene Smith (Rebecca) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mark Wayne Smith (Debbie) of Rogers, Arkansas; very special nephew, Paul Brown (Linda) of Ash Grove, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Everett Smith, Jr. (Cheri) of Baltimore, Maryland, Christopher Smith (Jennifer) of Moore, Oklahoma, Stephen Smith of Nashville, Tennessee, Stephanie Ann Barnes (Christopher) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Daniel Gene Smith (Lauren) of Montgomery, Texas, Aaron Michael Smith (Sarah) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Kyle Thurman (Arin) of Centerton, Arkansas; 16 great grandchildren, with one on the way; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri. Pastor Marilyn O’Brien will officiate. Memorial contributions in loving memory of Nancy, may be given to the Southwest City Cemetery Association.
