Judy Essary

Mrs. Judith Marie Essary, 70, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away early Thursday morning, July 16, 2020 in the comfort of her home.

Judy entered this life on March 7, 1950 to the union of the late Donald W. and Ida Lee Ellen (Curnutte) Fischer. She was a graduate of Pierce City High School. 

Judy was a very dedicated employee working for Carthage Underground Storage, as a secretary for Johnny Hankins and working in the kitchen for the Sarcoxie Nursing Center. She was a member of Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Sarcoxie and a past member of the area Jaycees. She enjoyed reversed glass painting, collecting angels, spending time with her family and friends and volunteering at the Outreach Center. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her. 








She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Essary; sister-in-law, Myra Fischer; and niece Lori Buehler.

Judy is survived by her siblings, Janice Henson (Ron) of Verona, Missouri, Dwight Fischer of Owensville, Missouri, Jannel Jump (Steven Brent) of Lombard, Illinois and Marsha Fischer of Owensville, Missouri; three nieces; two nephews; her companion life partner and wonderful caregiver, Carl Poindexter of the home; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. 

Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jack Owens, Carl Poindexter, J.C. Poindexter, Steve Lewis, James Summers and Chris Chapman. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Turner. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
