Sandra Jean Stapp passed away July 29, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, at the age of 65. Sandra was born December 28, 1954 in Springfield, Missouri, the fifth child born to Lee and Nellie (Clevenger) Martin.
Sandra was a lifelong resident of Southwest Missouri. She was saved at age 7 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Marionville, Missouri, rededicated her life at age 12 at Crane Bible Baptist Church and a graduate from Crane High School.
Her work dedication and faithfulness can be seen through her employment with the State of Missouri, child support enforcement office, retiring from the Joplin office in 2010.
Following retirement, she spent her days volunteering with the Monark Springs Baptist Church, of which she was a member.
Sandra married Melvin Stapp, December 24, 1988 and shared 31 years together.
She is survived by two children, Corey and Trisha; Corey born of her marriage to Wendell Tichenor, Trisha born of her marriage to Randal Lane; two stepchildren, Raymond and Brett; five grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one stepchild, Regina Ann.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Sunday, August 2, from 1-3 pm for visitation; Funeral Service will be Monday, August 3, at 10:00 am, at Monark Springs Baptist church. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Crane, Missouri. Social distancing and masks are encouraged by the family for the visitation and service.
