Shanna Michelle Scobee, age 31, fought a courageous battle with lymphoma before peacefully passing surrounded by her family, on July 19, 2020; at her home in Carthage, Mo.
Shanna was born on October 31, 1988 in Miami, Ok, to Ben Scobee and Deanna Nichols. She graduated from Miami High School in 2007.
Shanna lived in Miami for 24 years before moving to Carthage with her soulmate, Chris Downey, for the last 7 years.
Shanna is survived by her partner, Chris Downey, of Carthage, Mo., her mother Deanna Nichols and Father Ben (Sheri) Scobee, of Miami, Tim Bartlett of Carthage; brothers Shawn (Brinda) Berryman, of Miami, ok and Dewayne (Kenya Wimberley) Scobee, of Welch; step-sister Carrie McCarty (Ron) Shirley, of Miami; sister Stephanie Fields of Miami; Nephews John (Jasmine Brock) and Jonas Berryman of Miami, Caleb Armer of Welch; Nieces Kylee Scobee and Sabrina Schultz of Welch, Bailey McCarty and Jordan Shirley of Miami; great-niece Renesmay Berryman of Miami; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Shanna was greeted in Heaven by her niece Grace Scobee, maternal grandparents Harry George and Alice Marie Nichols, and paternal grandparents Mona Poor and Earnest Scobee.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Ok, from 8am-5pm.
Visitation will be held, on Wednesday, July 22, at 12pm; with services following at 1pm at First Christian Church in Miami. Those who wish to view the slideshow will be able to do so during the visitation period.
