Twyla Loraine (Ford) Cook, age 70 of Pittsburg, passed away at Medicalodge of Pittsburg at 4:47 AM on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
Twyla was born in Wichita, KS on October 27, 1949 to Bernadine Wilson. She had lived in Hart, MO during her grade school years, and had later lived in Wichita, KS. She moved to Parsons, KS 15 years ago, and lived there as long as her health allowed.
She worked as a laborer at a garment factory in Oswego, KS sewing military uniforms before retiring in the early 2000’s. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing at the strip pits, playing card games, and had recently taken up the art of crocheting.
She was united in marriage with William Lee Cook on July 31, 1972. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2020.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, as well as two sons, Ernest Odell, and Darrell Cook.
She is survived by one son, Joe Cook (wife, Gloria) of Stella, MO; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
