(From Parker Mortuary)William Earl Lett, age 73, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Freeman West of Joplin.
Bill was born February 16, 1951 in Joplin, son of the late Geroge H. Lett, Sr. and Viola (Tipton) Lett. He grew up in California and Joplin, and attended Joplin Schools. He loved working with his father in his shop which led to him becoming a very accomplished auto mechanic. He did this all of his adult life. He has had many “projects” over the years. He made a living buying, fixing, and selling cars. He was also a very good singer, and enjoyed singing anytime he could. He loved his family very much, and spent many hours entertaining and teaching them life lessons. He will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, LuAnn (Fisher) Lett who passed away on June 22, 2021; a brother, George, and a sister Julie.
Survivors include his children, Stacie Lett of Joplin, Chad Lett and wife Tara of Webb City, MO, Renee Borushaski of Joplin, Jim Lett of Tulsa, OK, Brance Maddox of Webb City, Kira Lett of Joplin, Tristan Magoon-Lett of Joplin, and Baylee Magoon of Joplin; several grand and great-grandchildren; brothers, Morris Lett, Gerald Lett; sisters, Rosie Clark, Bonnie Walker, and Faye Lett; numerous nieces and nephews.
