Tiny McIver

Maggie Lillie (Harrison) McIver a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister left this world on November 22, 2024 at the age of 96. She gained her angel wings while at home surrounded by family.

Maggie was born to Wenton (Papa) Garfield Harrison and Maggie Mae (Bell) Harrison at their home in Steele, MO on January 5, 1928. Papa took one look at Maggie and nicknamed her Tiny because she was the smallest baby he said he ever saw. Tiny was one of 13 children including Cletis, Leonard, Clara, Bruce, Kay, Izetta, Maggie, Louie, Charlie, Alice, Joan, Lawerence and Peggie. Her parents and siblings all preceded her in death.








Tiny married William (Bill) Doyle McIver on July 27, 1943 in Poplar Bluff, MO. Together they celebrated 66 years of marriage. She spent her 1st two years of marriage living with her sister, Clara, in Memphis, TN while Bill was in the service. Bill returned from WWII in 1946 when their son Dwight was 2 years old. They moved back-n-forth several times between St. Louis and Qulin, MO before settling in Cahokia, IL in 1956. Their middle son, Terry was born in 1952. Their third son, Larry was born in 1958. Tiny worked many jobs while in Cahokia ranging from a waitress to a factory worker. In 1987, they returned to their country roots by moving to Qulin, MO where she went into business with her sister, Alice until Bill passed away in 2009. Shortly after his passing, she retired at the age of 84. She then moved to Bellville, IL to live with her sister, Kay before making Sarcoxie her final home in 2018.

Tiny enjoyed hunting, bowling, camping, crocheting, reading and spending time with family and friends. While running her store in Qulin, she was locally famous for her fried chicken and her biscuits and gravy.

Tiny was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill McIver, and one son, Terry Theodore McIver. She is survived by 2 sons: Dwight McIver and wife Reta, Larry McIver and wife Linda. 5 grandkids: Tammy McIver, Terri Triplett, Trent McIver, Lisa Hansen, Larry (LJ) McIver. 12 great grandkids: Kristi Conyers, Toby McIver, Garett Triplett, Maddison Wallin, Emma Triplett, Joy McIver, Kayden Triplett, Zoe McIver, Ian McIver, Eva McIver, Lea McIver and Kai McIver. 6 great-great grandkids: Hunter Conyers, Bryson Conyers, Karsyn McIver, Ryan Triplett, Amelia McIver and Grayson Triplett.








A graveside service in Brosely, MO is still to be determined.
