(From Simpson Funeral Home)Well, folks, it's me, Scotty narrating from the other side. Born on January 23, 1961, in Carthage, MO, I've finally hung up my hat on November 17, 2024. As a charismatic, fun-loving man, I've spent most of my life perfecting the art of laughter and good food. I'm known for my wit, usually served with a side of humor, which I've crafted while working around the sizzling pans and boiling pots. After delighting the folks of Joplin with my culinary prowess, I called it a day in 2006.
I was never married, but did have a marvelous relationship, and will be carrying all of the great memories with me into this next chapter.
Now, I did my fair share of moving around - Webb City being one of my favorite stops, but Joplin remained my home for many years. And boy, did I treasure my family. My heart swells as I recall my wonderful son, Chet, my loving sisters Christy, Cassy, Crystal, and Stacey. As well as my brothers, Kenny and Chad. My little angels Ella, and Addi, as well as my best buddy Chaz - the best grandchildren a guy could ask for. They filled my heart with so much joy. I am, however, joining my dear parents, Mary Sue and Choppy, who've been waiting for me on this side.
I urge you to share a joke, and a hearty laugh in my memory. Remember me as the funny, witty, charismatic Scotty you've always known. I hope to continue hearing your laughter from up here. Please visit www.simpsonfh.com to share photos and memories. Making people smile was my life's work, and I hope to continue doing so in memory. Services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home. Go on, folks, keep the joy alive!
