(From Parker Mortuary)Linda Sue Dunn, age 71, Carthage, MO, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 at her home with family at her side.
Linda was born on July 5, 1953, daughter of the late Bill and Bonnie Kesinger. She grew up in Joplin and Corpus Christi, TX before graduating from Joplin High School. She worked for years with Ducommun La Barge Technologies and later with Eagle Picher as a supervisor before retiring in 2010.
She loved her family very much, and taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren was her top priority. She was known for her cooking and loved doing that for them. She also loved being outdoors and was a deer and turkey hunter over the years. She was also very devoted to doing her Lord’s will for her life and was a proud member of the Abundant Life Christian Center in Joplin. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents and some siblings, Linda was preceded in death by a granddaughter, McKenzie Dunn; a brother-in-law, Sam Dunn; and a sister-in-law, Jan Pope.
Survivors include her husband, David Lee Dunn, Sr.; sons, David L. Dunn, Jr. of Joplin, Joe Dunn and wife Virginia of Oronogo, MO, and Adam Dunn and wife Sarah of Joplin; 16 grandchildren, Blake Williams (Andrea), Austin Williams, Cheyenne Tappana, Erianna Burden, Fenix Dunn, Sierra Dunn, Elizabeth Dunn, Brian Dunn, Jace Dunn, Chloe Dunn, Morgan Dunn, Harleigh Dunn, Kyle Dunn, Madison Dunn, Alex Duncan, and Caleb Holden; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gene Kesinger, John Kesinger, and Cliff Kesinger; sisters-in-law, Ginger Kesinger, Debbie Pope, Sandy Chew, Tammy McGuirk, and Deanna Kesinger; brother-in-law, Walter Pope; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Scott Simmons officiating, and family serving as pallbearers.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
