(From Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home)Brenda Ann McKinley, 78 of Arkansas City died on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Presbyterian Manor in Arkansas City.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Calvary Chapel in Arkansas City.
Brenda was born May 14, 1946 to Roy Chapman and Lulu Belle (Williams) in Albany, CA. She graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord. CA and continued at Cowley College.
On December 11, 1965 she married Harry A. Thomas in Concord, CA and the couple had three children. She later married Gary A. White on October 9, 2003 and then on June 28, 2014 she married Ian A. McKinley in Arkansas City where the couple also lived. Brenda was an Administrative Assistant for City of Arkansas City until she retired. She also attended Calvary Chapel in Arkansas City.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Ian McKinley of the home; children, Darren Thomas of Arkansas City, Karla Thomas-Carter and husband, Greg of Webb City, MO, Warren Thomas and wife, Afton of Des Moines, IA; stepdaughter, Buffy McKinley of Lawrence; grandchildren, Sierra, Vanessa, Perry and Levi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marshall and Bob; sister, Louise and husband, Gary White.
