(From Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home)Conor Robert Browne, 31, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at his home on June 6, 2026. He was a cherished husband, son, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Conor was born on February 27, 1995, in Springfield, Missouri. He attended Springfield Public Schools and graduated from Kickapoo High School in 2013. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in history from Truman State University in 2017, followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri in 2020.
Conor proudly served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Greene County in the Major Crimes Unit, a role for which he had a deep passion and built an impressive record. He approached his work with integrity, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to justice.
On July 5, 2025, he married the love of his life and was looking forward to celebrating their first wedding anniversary. They built a beautiful life in the four years they had together and were looking forward to many more.
From a young age, Conor held a deep fascination with history. As a child, he enjoyed dressing in period-accurate Civil War uniforms, re-enacting battles, and creating with Legos.
Conor had an enthusiasm for all things sports. He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs and MIZZOU fan. He had a wealth of sports knowledge that he could recall at moment’s notice.
His passions which were endless, include but are not limited to, driving at top speed on the boat, golfing with friends, tending to his lawn, and caring for his two loving puppies, Sunny and Banks. He was a devoted son and brother, a beloved brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle and a treasured friend to many. Most importantly, he was a dedicated, loving, and supportive husband to the woman of his dreams.
Conor was exceedingly intelligent, warm, funny, kind, and charming. He had such a grateful heart. Few people crossed his path without being touched by his generosity and spirit. In the wake of his passing, his family and friends have been continually reminded of the profound impact he had on so many lives.
Conor was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kathleen and Thomas Pancratz; his paternal grandparents, Leatha Lee, “Jimmy” and Robert Browne; his uncle, Scott Browne; and his aunts, Julie Holland and Kathy Browne.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kaylie Browne; his parents, Mary Ellen and Steven Browne; his sister, Nora Goller, and her husband, Holden Goller; Mother-in-law Tamie Comley, partner Mark Ritter; Father-in-law Mike and Shelly Comley; sister-in-law Kelcie Coyne, husband Nick Coyne, niece Kate, and soon-to-be nephew; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever miss his presence.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by eulogies at 10:45 a.m., and Mass at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026.
