Steven Ryan, age 37 years, of Joplin, unexpectedly passed away on August 29, 2015.
Steven was born September 24, 1977 in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Danny and Virginia (Howe) Ryan. Steven was a Veteran of the United States Army where he was a marksman. He was a journeyman electrician by trade. He attended New Hope Assembly of God in Joplin.
He is survived by his four daughters, Emma, Ashley, Natalie and Clara Ryan, Joplin; his mother Virginia Ryan, Joplin; his father Danny Ryan, Webb City, Mo.; two sisters, Jessica Ryan, Joplin and Jennifer Montgomery and husband Jon, Joplin; maternal grandmother Delane Crowl, Joplin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Steven loved to tell childhood stories and make people laugh. Steve played the mandolin and he loved to fish and hunt. He was greatly loved by us and will be missed.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will be in Faskin Cemetery, near Carthage, Mo. The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until service time at Mason-Woodard Chapel.
