Diana J. Winder, age 66, of Webb City passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center.
She was born on July 26, 1949 in Joplin to Fred Hamm and Joan (Abernathy) Hamm. Diana received her Bachelor’s Degree in education from Missouri Southern State University, and taught kindergarten in Salem, Missouri and Joplin. In 1988 she returned to work at Winder Dairy Farm, where she hosted many field trips for students throughout the years. Diana was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
She married Terry Winder on June 16, 1973 at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church and he survives her at their home. Diana is also survived by her son, Matt Winder of Webb City; daughter, Melissa Cobine and husband Heath of Sarcoxie; grandchildren, Shila and Pason Winder, Clifton and Coleson Cobine; and one sister, Debbie Frye of Joplin.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Reverend Bob Simon officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Sarcoxie Nursing Center for all they did for Diana while she was a resident. Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Methodist church in her memory.
