John "Perry" Smith age 60 of Jasper, MO. passed away November 17, 2015.
He was born October 7, 1955 in Independence, Missouri to James Joseph and Mary Elaine (Cooper) Smith. Perry worked as a brakeman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for13 years and then as a self-employed backhoe operator until he became disabled. He was a member of the Jasper First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mary E. Smith of Jasper, MO.. Two brothers, Ronald Smith of Harrisonville, MO. and David Smith of Jasper, MO.. Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Smith on April 17, 1981. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Jasper, MO.. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
