Wilma Margaret Lee, age 98, of Joplin passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Spring River Christian Village.
She was born on February 19, 1917 in Lawrenceburg, Missouri to William T. Pringle and Mary Belle (Woody) Pringle. Wilma sold Avon for over 30 years in the Carl Junction area and met many friends along the way. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carl Junction for many years.
Wilma married Paul B. Lee on July 16, 1938 in Webb City, Missouri and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Warren Pringle and Nelson Pringle. Wilma is survived by her son, Jim Lee and wife Deana of Joplin; grandsons, Jeff Lee and wife Laura of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Jason Lee of Springdale, Arkansas; sister, Ivallen Wallace of Springfield, Missouri; along with four great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Carl Junction with Reverend Russell Roderick officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Carl Junction Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Carl Junction in care of the funeral home.
