Dr. William L. (Will) Lane, 82, Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Goodman, Missouri, died November 10, 2015 in Bentonville, Arkansas, following an illness.
Dr. Lane was born June 8, 1933 in Pochauantus, VA. He received two doctorate degrees, one in Theology from Midwest Christian College and one in Literature from Artesia Christian College, Artesia, NM. He owned and operated ‘Emerald Ranches’ southwest of Goodman for many years where he raised registered black angus cattle for 17 years and did consultant work for Christian TV and radio. Prior to ranching, he owned and operated an advertising agency in Tulsa, OK. He was a retired minister of the Christian and Baptist Faith’s, having served many churches in Oklahoma, Missouri, Washington, Idaho and Seattle, WA. In October, 2007, he donated the Emerald Ranch to the Show Me Christian Children’s Home based in Lamont, MO. Dr. Lane was a member of the Blue Lodge King Hill Masonic Temple; Scottish Rite Valley of St. Joseph, MO and Shriner Moela, St. Joseph, MO.
He is survived by four sons, David Russell Long, San Antonio, TX; Terry Lane, Tacoma, WA; Larry Lane, Tulsa, OK and Donnie L. Lane, NW, Missouri. He is preceded in death by a son, Michael Lane and his parents, Francis (F.G.) and Frances Lane.
