Shane Michael Kester, 34 passed away November 7, 2015 in Carthage, MO.
Shane was born January 5, 1981 in Shawnee Mission, KS to Louis Ernest Kester and Donna Jo (Gamble) Kester. The family moved to Carthage when he was 18 months old. Shane was a longtime Carthage resident and graduated from Carthage High School in 1999 and was active in both the school band and the Jazz band. He played baseball from T-ball through senior high. Shane had a kind loving heart and was loved by many family and everyone who met him. He was strong and a hard worker and had many talents. He worked for Leggett and Platt in the test lab. He was also a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Shane was united in marriage to Laura Kester May 19, 2011 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas she survives. Shane is survived by his loving and devoted wife Laura Kester of Carthage, his mother Donna Jo Kester of Carthage, one son Gabriel Robert Louis Russell of Joplin, one daughter Brianna Smart of the home and one brother Lou William Kester his wife Charity and their daughters Madeline, Scarlett and son Matthew. He is preceded in death by his father Louis Ernest Kester February 25, 2008, one brother Sean Kester May 28, 1998.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 14, 2015 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Carthage Mo, with Father J officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church Friday November 13, 2015, Rosary will start at 6:00 p.m. and visitation to follow. Music provided by Niki Cloud, organist, family friends will sing. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
